Activities
The area is full of plenty to keep you busy. Saugatuck is full of tiny shops and galleries to keep you occupied for days. However, there are a few we love especially. Below are some of our favorite spots to shop, ride, play and relax.
2948 Blue Star Highway, Douglas | (269) 857-6041
There’s a lot of great antique stores, but Saugatuck Antique Pavillon seems to have the highest quality and is the best organized. It’s large, so be prepared to spend a little time here. If you make a purchase, they’ll offer 10% off a food order next door at Saugatuck Brewing Company.
6495 Blue Star Hwy, Saugatuck | (269) 857-2253
A Saugatuck must-do that takes you through some daring, beautiful dunes while presenting a little history lesson of the area with terrible jokes from the guide, all for fun.
716 Water Street, Saugatuck | (269) 857-4261
A classic old paddle-wheel cruise boat takes you around Saugatuck Lake, through the Kalamazoo River and into Lake Michigan for beautiful scenery and stories new and old.
Kindel & Company Lifestyle Mercantile
241 Culver Street, Saugatuck | (616) 795-9719
Full of quirky, stylish finds for the home as well as a small selection of men’s clothing and women’s accessories. Inventory is ever-changing, so always stop in to see what’ new.
3315 Blue Star Hwy, Saugatuck | (269) 455-5354
Amazing, contemporary art gallery & home store. Of the many galleries in the area, this is our favorite. Stop by to stroll through their garden and learn about their featured American artists. Roan & Black is truly a local gem and the owners have amazing tastes.
119 Butler Street, Saugatuck | (269) 857-8482 When you need a little pampering, this Aveda spa offers wonderful manicures, pedicures and massages.
640 Water Street, Saugatuck | (269) 857-4762
If you’re looking to do a little fishing, rent a pontoon, some kayaks, SUP, bikes or any number of other outdoor activities, Big Lake Outfitters can help. They’ll even deliver rental bikes to the house.
121 Griffith Street, Saugatuck | (269) 857-3825
For tours of the area by land and sea, try one of these fun amphibious rides.
6054 124th Avenue, Fennville | (269) 561-2297
A good place to stop by for breakfast or lunch year round, Crane’s is exceptionally fun September - October when apple picking is at its peak, the pumpkin patches are ready and the corn maze is open.
Landsharks
306 Butler Street, Saugatuck | (269) 857-8831
If you’re looking for great outdoor gear (like jackets, swimsuits, shoes, shorts and more) hit up Landsharks. They also have what we think is the best selection of Saugatuck & Michigan souvenir-wear.
Wild West Ranch
2855 36th St, Allegan | (269) 673-3539
Family run ranch that started as a pony-farm for kids, and has since expanded to offer leisurely trail, carriage and sleigh rides year long.
