The best eats and drinks - Saugatuck

For a town its size, Saugatuck has an embarrassingly large number of terrific little spots for food and drink. We’ve put together a selection of our favorites. If visiting in the off-season, make sure you double check the spot is open as many businesses close in the winter months.

 

Saugatuck Interurban Bus

Low-cost ($1 for adults, 50¢ for seniors/kid) on-demand shuttle rides throughout the area (including Saugatuck, Douglas and south to 124th Ave). Call 269-857-1418 to arrange a pick-up.

Our favorite spot for pizza and craft beer, The Mitten Brewing Company is an excellent spot to share a pie and in the warmer months, enjoy some lawn games outside on Water Street.

Bowdie’s Chop House

If you’re in the mood for one of the best steaks of your life with classic cocktails in an impossibly adorable spots, head to Bowdie’s, a classic chophouse.

Lucy’s Sauggy Dollar Bar

We go here perhaps more than any other spot. With the best fried chicken in the area, The Southerner is a great southern style spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner with excellent cocktails.
