Rules of the House

To ensure you have the best stay possible, for your own safety, and to help keep rates low, please review the below rules.

Wildwood is non-smoking

All occupants shall refrain from smoking indoors or within 50 feet of any building on the premises. Smoking is not allowed in the hot tub. Do not dispose of butts in the lawn, fire pits, planting beds or the woods as this can be very dangerous fire hazard. You will be charged for any addition clean-up or fumigation costs.

divide and dispose of trash & recycling properly

Two separate bins located next to the kitchen sink are provided - one for trash and one for recyclables. Please separate trash from recyclables (plastic, glass, metal) and rinse recyclable before placing in the appropriate bins. Empty trash and recycling to appropriate bins outside to the side of the garage.

12 guests maximum per night

Unless other arrangements have been made, no more than 12 guests will be allowed overnight during your stay. Friends and family are welcome to join during the day, but no large parties or events are allowed.

two well behaved dogs maximum

No cats. Please clean up after your dogs outside and dispose of waste in black bins. If pets are used to being crated, please use crate (a large one is located next to the basement stairs). If pets are left alone in house and not crated, we ask that all interior doors be closed including downstairs living area, and that pets be blockaded in the entryway hall and stairs (there are gates in entryway closet). Also feel free to keep the deck gate closed if you’d rather keep your dogs on the deck and out of the woods. Please ensure they don’t mess on the deck to prevent stains.

noise policy

Wildwood is secluded with the closest neighbors decently some distance away, so we don't worry about noise levels too much. However, giant amplifiers and/or speakers are not allowed, and we ask that you remain courteous to those nearby at night.

Shower before hot tubing to prevent bacterial growth

Lotions, soaps and body oils come off naturally and can result is a less-than-pleasant water. Please place hot tub cover back hot tub when not in use and turn temperature down to 98º F. No smoking in the hot tub. No glass in the hot tub. No children under 16 years in the hot tub without supervision.

no chopping of trees for firewood

Nor is breaking of trees or branches allowed. Feel free, however, to wander the woods and use anything that is already dead and on the forrest floor. And any pre-chopped wood left next to the fire pit is certainly fair game.

do not rearrange indoor furniture

With the exception of dining chairs, please don't rearrange any indoor furniture. If you rearrange any outdoor furniture, please put back in the original place before departure.

absolutely no fireworks or firearms allowed on Wildwood property

Use of either will result in forfeiture of security deposit and immediate dismissal from the property.
